Intro To Basketball

The Factory Basketball Academy believes that a strong positive first impression is the key to unlocking hidden passion and growth. Intro to basketball is basketball 101 Factory Basketball Academy style.

This program introduces kids ages 4 to 7 years old to the game of basketball. The Factory Basketball Academy has adopted the principles outlined in the Canada Basketball Athlete Development and Long-Term Development stage(LTAD) models , to ensure that Intro to Basketball covers fundamental movement skills for long term athletic development.

Intro to basketball is one of the Factory Basketball Academy’s most popular programs for the engagement the players receive and the positive experience they take from it.

4-5 years old

Players will learn how to dribble, pass and shoot. (We highly recommend the age appropriate basketball) classes end with games such as “octopus” or tag.

6-7 years old

Players will be introduced to the fundamentals of balance/footwork and ball control, dribbling, shooting and passing classes end with games such as octopus and or basketball challenges/skill oriented games.
